How does it work

So, they group payments now thankfully

so at the end of the month they go through and systemically charge cards for people

but because of the volume of small transactions they do, often you won't get charged on the 1st itself, even if the system pretends like you were

The only patreon I pay for is 10 bucks which I’m guessing is above the “small transactions” range?

lol no, that's a small transaction

what I mean is for Patreon, they have 1M cards to charge

average is probably around $20

but stripe can only handle 50k/hour or whatever

so it takes 2-3 days to actually try to charge all cards, after which point they do recharges

it's just a really slow process, and is why they'd love to not bundle charges at the end of the month if they could

I probably mispoke at first though, that's not the part I think's dumb

I don't like how you can have zombie patrons on accounts

where they have expeired credit cards or w/e

and just remain on a patreon, never actually getting charged, but inflating the number
