he is implying that donating through twitch is inherently content>people because twitch takes a sizable cut, and thus you clearly only do it because you want your name to flash up in chat

no one inform rob that banks have transaction fees
he might go full antijew
yeah
sub = donating through twitch
subs/bits are bad
donating = donating through not twitch
patreon/paypal is good
idk its opportunity cost
less people are willing to go donate off twitch
how many people are going to donate through paypal though?
so I would guess you make more even with twitches cut
hence how they get away with the whole 50% cut thing
he shames people on stream for donating "wrong"
Rob in this video said he does not believe it is ethical to encentivise donations though
thats the thing conour
I agree, that having a massive patreon is better then a lot of twich subs
I mean.... it depends if you have a shot at being "big" or not
I tend to agree with you
but rob does not agree that you should incentive people to donate to patreon
but it's also about knowing your worth, and when to cash in
could of fooled me with the way he shames people
holy fuck rob
you have like 8 comments with the tag because of your sycophants
thats not doing something
nor is it really count as engagement
because it will never leave the confines of this comment section
Twitch bad, give more money
complaining
the opposite Umbreon
he's trying to get less money
yeah
I mean... if his plan is to weed down his cult until it's nothing but whales left
so he can put the minimum time necessary into maintaining them
true, why stream at all when you can just talk to 10 people for an hour a day each and earn your months rent
rob might be on to something
also, i'm not necessarily talking about rob, hes a pretty lost cause. But in general, for smaller streamers, they should focus on growing their stream, getting a chat that engages with the community, and multiple areas of engagement, like multi-streaming, uploading vods/videos to youtube etc. but of course message is alittle too smart for rob to give, sadly
I 100% agree Conour
my only point was that if your honest with yourself about how good you really are, don't hold onto hope that one day you'll get some "big break"
but counour, 1000 is year 50 numbers
thats aiming a bit high
I think that's the most succinct summary yet Umbreon
yeah
back in the day it meant he could stream in glorious 480p
before affiliate existed
before Twitch/Justintv, he used to stream on UStream
he is already claiming to get 70%
it being a lie or not is irrelevant anyways
Full context, Rob initially got a 50-50 split, and has always had a 50-50 split
and has always claimed to have a 50-50 split
until Monday
based on spookies numbers, twitch is such a minority of his income
when he started claiming it was actually 70% all along
that he really can't be dependent on it
