One of the smartest things you can do is assume you still don't understand anything about everything. When you accept that you are often wrong and still make lots of little mistakes (instead of overlooking them) it makes accepting and learning from the bigger ones much easier. I know nothing about philosophy so it's always fun coming to the similar conclusions and having them pointed out. Also I'm aware that subconsciously I know that a lot of what I have learned from derivative art. I have most likely learned a lot from Socrates without knowing it.
