you have to also remember city people are weird
you end up going to the store more frequently, for way, way less
you've got to schlep all your groceries back to your apartment
on a bus/train or whatever
really rural, sure
I'm just contrasting it to people who own cars and have a non-trivial commute to a store
so they buy in bulk infrequently
versus a lot of city folks who will go to the store daily for a couple things
