I'll at least make a page of them all, if not just have a place on the sidebar
ChatGPT did it, so it's mostly been me testing and directing it every couple hours
one or two of the spikes last night was maybe 30-50% the wiki, and then the work it's been doing this morning is 100% wiki
I did try this a few times over the years, remaking the theme file
but I'd give up because it's a TON of depreciated widget spaghetti
then when I first tried AI, it wasn't great at doing UI without it looking like generic vibecoded slop
now though (literally as of Thursday this week) it's really good
If you've not tried any of the big coding LLMs like GPT Codex or Claude, they're really good at building plans for you and then just implementing them
You give it very basic direction, do some back-and-forth Q&A, and then it goes off and works
And it turns this into this

does this matter to people? I think technically Rob's old card viewer he made in S3 was more advanced and had a variant flag (which is why a lot of the wiki entries have an extra parameter it's trying to pass)

As much as I'm not a URealms person, it's actually kind of amazing how polished and maintained the wiki was
Not even just of that era, encompassing wiki's today
It's genuinely one of the best I've seen
I know we've had some wiki people come and talk about the behind the scenes a bit. I like the effort they put in while having to deal with Rob and also a very autistic community
I knew a couple of the guys who did it originally
It was A LOT of work up-front for them, and then yeah between their Discord and the in-wiki discussion system
Rob was completely hands-off with the wiki
(hands-off by his standards)
The discussion flow thing is actually one of the reasons the wiki was so broken too
because instead of normal talk pages, there was a whole messaging system widget
that broke in 2017 it looks like
someitme when people are in VC, I'll show off some of the cool behind the scenes stuff in the wiki
Their hubris of counting all the roles in each campaign
lasted half of S1
speaking of the bot that just joined
the number of Indian bot pages on the wiki makes even me blush
there are some funny ones too
