Which is an insane take because gen 3 was the best generation to date for pokemon when it came out
I don't think I would consider it passed until black and white
(I am not a fan of gen 4, also I do not include remakes because then heartgold/soulsilver is probably the best game to date when it came out)
Even if it's just a bit and he's trying to be funny, I just don't think it's very fun to listen to how much someone hates on something, ignoring whether or not I'm a gen 3 fan.
I remember a while back I was looking at 0-view twitch streamers and someone was playing Touhou Puppet Dance Performance, so I watched it for about an hour and she just constantly talked about how much she HATED Byakuren. I don't even like Byak, not in the slightest, but it made me really annoyed to just listen to someone only talk about what they hate. I have no idea what Touhou character said streamer likes, only that she hates Byakuren.

the problem with pokemon is there's too many pokemon and like so many of these pokemon are just the same thing or just like it's legendary what does it do it's the god of time and math what what does this dragon do this dragon invented all life and wizards like and this will be the end of it
I mean, I do agree that pokemon has pokemon bloat because it needs to keep releasing new pokemon for cards/merch sales

Actually its kind of split, because I was 8 when gen 4 released, and 12 when 5 released

Treecko garbage Treecko brings nothing to the Treecko Treecko boring like in terms of starters it's like Treecko's a grass type why because i don't know he's green you know he didn't he didn't really feel like he added anything he's just like a pure grass type you know i don't Treecko is the most forgettable of grass types to me i guess that's why and if you're a forgettable pokemon i really feel like you're not worth keeping

I think there's a pattern that most people dislike their third game. So, people who started with gen 1 dislike gen 3. I started with gen 3, so I disliked gen 5. Of course, I've since changed my opinion on that after garbage after garbage was released, but I still had that initial dislike.
I started with 3 though and loved 5

I played fire red,
I got ruby then fire red shortly after
I kind of combine both of those into gen 3, I liked ruby more but thought both were pretty good
I also really liked heartgold
it was just diamond I was not the biggest fan of
I never finished diamond and X
(I later finished X to get pokemon for my omega ruby nat dex)
gen 4 was my childhood gen
but uh
even back then I hated the legendaries
Dialga and Palkia were dumb looking to young Spook
compared to 1-2-3
and gens 1-2-3
What about the other gen 4 legendaries?

this isnt a gen 3 issue though
By the time platinum was out and they finished gen 4, there were more good legendaries
