well, I've almost finished processing all 5k vods on the site to genrate captions
Took about two weeks
and just passed 500k views (which is fairly significantly undercounting)
bots
No one normal registers
I made a new acct to make sure
but yes
and my internal stat page is still sorta broken, but the site gets 150-300 unique users daily, and serves ~500 videos where a view is "counted"
uh, I think I could probably just look in the database and check total counted views
issue is views were broken for the first ~2 years of the site
and even now, I don't put a lot of faith in them being correct
I feel bad for the smaller peertube instances tbh, because it makes anything on these platforms look way more dead than it actually is
wait uh, I have an idea, let me see if I can check total HLS streams served for a video

there are other instances doing what I do archiving Twitch streams and the like, but it's just not that common that people actually watch/use them
