ik I'm the extreme outlier on a lot of tech stuff
But seeing dead URL links for personal sites is just sad to me
I'm sure part of that is sites like GoDaddy and SquareSpace raping people with inflated fees
But for people who set things up right, and have it hosted cheaply or via GitHub or w/e
I just don't get it
When I was following some of Rob's links to other people in his former circles, TONs of them setup personal sites because Rob told them to, and most seem to have been shut down in 2023 or so
Even the simple portfolio type sites
