By the time Rob started Buffalo Wizards, he was too late to the era of general content groups like that working

yep, and that worked in the very early days, but by 2015 or w/e BW started, that was long over
Rob needed a stable of people to make content with, and he tried to create one inorganically
rather than leaning into his connections and being a touring guest, he had a rule that BW was to mostly be insular and only do stuff themselves
Later, he refined that to having a discord harem of regular viewers

I don't remember any of it. I know there was a lot of Rob and some individual collabs, but I wouldn't call that BW content.

Dialga, we got like 3-4 people who are simulataneously going through the "man I've wanted to talk about Rob for years but couldn't" arc
they are playing into eachother
usually its 1 new person like that, and we burn through them and it dies off lol
the non-Rob stuff that he'd organize, in LoM or other random Let's Plays, would get <1,000 views
also during an era when streaming was taking off
