Rob really believed that he kept needing to go bigger, he was so proud of the ending cinematic for S3, and wanted to go even harder for S4
that coupled with all the behind the scenes stuff going on with Hive Queen, as well as him just being generally exhausted/drugged-up/mentally unwell
ignoring the mental breakdown, he did have a sorta unsolvable problem of how to get new viewers into his show
the season breaks were far too long (for reasons)
There were hundreds of hours of important lore to catch-up on
He didn't have a workflow to clip his shows, and his deadbones recap things weren't very approachable either
the rotating cast were all people with no social media presence outside of the show for Rob
and some other points I'm sure I'm not thinking of rn
The only thing in his favor was he had moved back to Twitch, and was pushing his Urealms.com site less hard
yeah, it was 1000% sustainable
but I think that was def part of the stress he was under

But the system had a lot going for it, the randomized background and personality cards are really interesting to me. Working with a randomized character and then building a class build based around what you drew and what’s available for that session (limited race/class combos) was fun for me. I would sometimes go on tabletop sim just to theory craft.

Now Justin is wildly more successful than any of them, so karma's a bitch considering how he was treated.

I've not been in Phijkchu from the beginning or anything, but the Discord existed back in 2016-ish after Pika migrated people from Skype

1) being underage
2) being reported
and Umbreon thought it would be funny to report our server as a joke, thinking it would send the server owner a funny email
and instead it deleted the server

for unrelated jokes of being underage

idk why Discord has no way to appeal
but they don't
and you're just fucked
I was big into Element/Matrix being successful, but they fucked up on the dev side
it's still a good product
