I mean, you're welcome to go ask Rob, he is sitll alive and all, but he's not going to give out his design docs because he does eventually have this idea that AI will get to the point it can animate Unforgotten Realms for him
Yeah no, I left a comment years ago to ask and just got a no lol. Imma leave the guy alone
Kribbles rawb
No, I came here from the Guude video you posted lol. I was reminiscing old Mindcrack and watching the Buffalo Wizards stuff and then that video of Guude bitching about Generikb was recommended to me on the side.

Also, I presumed, like most of these types of communities, that these Discords are just there as places for people to show up once a month and was planning on leaving. But then you guys were in voice chat and actively doing stuff lol.

This is the most active discord I'm in. I do not like the servers that are constantly blasting conversation and can just spend your entire life never leaving it lol.

I think Rob had some latent mental illness, that was exaxerbated and brought out by the coke, his spiraling and schitzo meta stuff feels 100% like that to me
I fucking hated the meta shit

Listening to the campaign s at work...you can hear his mood and demeanor change over the seasons... I hate the knowledge I gained U.U then campaign 1 season 4...it makes so much sense now... His best friend, His co lore maker and the only one he just hired were all he had left...

the season breaks were far too long (for reasons) There were hundreds of hours of important lore to catch-up on He didn't have a workflow to clip his shows, and his deadbones recap things weren't very approachable either the rotating cast were all people with no social media presence outside of the show for Rob

I still am hopeful I can get my d&d friends to give it a try one day, but it was just so designed for 8~ hour one shot sessions that it would be a really hard sell

But the system had a lot going for it, the randomized background and personality cards are really interesting to me. Working with a randomized character and then building a class build based around what you drew and what’s available for that session (limited race/class combos) was fun for me. I would sometimes go on tabletop sim just to theory craft.

Of course, I also think the cast and the show itself was all around really good as well, the guys were funny. I had my favorites at certain points but looking back on it, all of them stood out for one reason or another

Roamin was Roamin. Deadbones was the lore guy. Coestar had his characters all named after the word Thank You in various languages. Justin was other Coestar.

Now Justin is wildly more successful than any of them, so karma's a bitch considering how he was treated.
