If he ever starts doing it, Spooky needs to quickly whip up a model to do the same thing and steal his market
because I think that would be funny
Sunday, May 18, 2025
he could easily do it now, there are whole sections of YouTube just cranking out low effort AI homebrew animes
and that's not even considering the AI cat slop we love to watch, or the funny Indian AI cartoons
also, I've not done a donation update in a while, but we've hit a new ratio I think
Whale donations: $450
Everyone else: $17.50 (5 Twitch subs)
just over halfway to his month-long Twitchcon goal

I'm not home, can someone link me the two different URealms card generators
Someone asked for them and I'm not able to find them somehow
@Spooky Phijkchu https://urlive.majorsplace.com/ here is one of them
Majors was the one I was looking for
Robs next donation grind after twitchcon discovered
He did a PC goal before, and it was SUPER unpopular
It's funny how he even talks about them being donation goals, when it's 4 people donating
Also because someone un subbed mid month
new all time low of 113
lets go!

looks like hes done saying and im guessing it was in the timeline of heavy drug use but wtf did rob mean when he kept talking about "meta"
Replying to Komala #komalamole These should be in order, nothing super juicy in this one tho
This was part of the 'meta'
This was Rob's skitzo book, which as Megan says was part of what unlocked Rob thinking he was DMing the universe
more broadly (and somewhat predating him reading this book) he had started to associate being an entertainer with influencing how people feel, and trying to distill that became the 'meta'
For non-show stuff, take when he'd walk around his local park in Toronto, feeding and taming squirrels
He called this part of the 'meta' as well, it's all wrapped in this idea Rob had that he was fulfilling this role of being a bard in other people's lives, and that by living this way it would unlock his own paths forward
Replying to mtcdood #mtcdood Is it that trippy of a book or do you have to be mentally ill and on coke to react to it that way?
I think we skimmed through it, it's the most basic sort of self-help book you can find a hundred of in any book store
I don't remember exactly what Rob was trying to "do" with this book, I think it was related to having his emotional mind do battle his his logical mind (the dumb book Psych 101 concepts of there bein a System 1 and System 2 ion your head) and defeat it, thus making him a 100% emotional being to carry out the will of the universe
I did not watch his streams in this era, I'd vaguely skim through them and clipped some bits occasionally, so I don't remember the full explanation of what he was trying to do, but it was something stupid as ^
anyway, that's my summary of what the 'meta' was
an easier answer might just have been that he killed Cheetoh Bandito, his favorite GTA rp character
who then became a Jesus-like figure in Rob's stories, a self-insert for Rob destroying his career "on purpose" in order to help progress the narratives of other people, hence being 'meta'
Rob was close to getting a tattoo of him at one point, I think his GTA group kicking him out kinda Jimmy blunted that
Rob is an Insane Fool!

one of Umbreon's best videos
Also my favourite

This is so pathetic lmao

Insane, did not know this

Ive read it before, pretty good book but nothing life changing. Reading into what rob has said about it he was just channeling mania through this book, im going off the line megan said from rob of “other people think slow, i think fast” which is not what the book is about at all. The book covers a lot more than just this, but the fast/slow part is just two modes of thinking we use. The “fast” thinking requires minimal mental effort and you juggle multiple (ie. chewing and walking) where the “slow” thinking requires deliberate effort and you can only do one at a time (ie. reading and doing difficult math).
Honestly i remember more than half the book being about heuristics more than type 1 and type 2 thoughts

Do people consider tf2 a hero shooter?
I can kind of see it both ways
I think classic tf2 before loadouts you could argue
I think a hero shooter has a defining trait that when you see an enemy, you have 95+% of an idea of exactly what the enemy can do
TF2 weapon based subclasses make that not possible
modern tf2 is goofy
but to a point, there weren't enough subclasses to really make that argument
I think even peak tf2 (peak being when I played it) it still was not a hero shooter
and most hero shooters now have moved to the limited loadout models, where you have a small number of variant guns/sidearms, but your class skills and character are the same
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak I think even peak tf2 (peak being when I played it) it still was not a hero shooter
I agree, but it's definitely borderline
and definitely benefits from predating hero shooters
I think hero shooters moving towards loadouts are moving farther to the edge of what a heroshooter is
rather than that being what a heroshooter is
Yeah, tf2 is moreso a common anscestor of these games
you know, I think I (charitably) understand what Rob's saying
in a world where shooters either go the "realistic" route or the tf2 route
there are really only a small number of tf2-likes
On that way, thats fair
can you have a hero shooter without abilities? (not that I think anyone should do that)
