I write this a lot, but imo
Rob had some doement mental illness, that was exacerbated by the hard drug use
he claims he put on anti-manic meds at some point, but Megan never elaborated on exactly what he has
in my layman opinion, schizophrenia is not what he has, but there are aspects of manic and disassociative conditions he 100% has
I don't like blaming it all on drugs, but he was going HARD at this point, hitting up clubs and doing lines of coke

but yeah, I think after the Megan breakup when he started talking about being committed, his community was cutting him some slack until they got a full picture of wtf had happened
