To be fair to Rob, there is no way he makes enough money regardless for his toronto rent
(aka, his parents are 100% helping him)
We could have saved LOM...
but he turned us away...
We did force him to have to change several game mechanics to hinder us
so thats a win
We made him do like four different changes to protect afk fishers
We may or may not be the reason he had to change how item pickups were handled, how afk fishing people were handled, how etc etc
If Rob streamed LoM and pushed for it hard
it would have succeeded
even with his much smaller community, he's got a real skill at getting people to come along for the experience, and could easily have roped smaller streamers into it
now that he's shown the low level of commitment and slow speed of updates though, idk what draw there would be to make THAT your rp groups venue

Replying to ☪ Sƙყ ★ #uhnightsky The only thing I liked about lom was the people. The feature creeps and lack of things to do besides grinding made the server in general kinda boring unless others were around
Yeah as someone who did quite a few plots for people on the server I kept feeling like more and more it wasn't worth my time as there was 0 real vision for the project was it a game with rp support or a strictly RP server he never added enough features or balancing either way to make either worth caring about. This version of LOM released over 10 years after the original and had pretty much a comparable amount of features to that.
Lom 2 differed from LOm 1 cause it never really had that 10+ semi-self contained District communities doing there own thing with an admin-youtuber to help support projects or do anything like that. I think the lack of youtubers/streamers to foster and bring in their own communities to districts really hurt the potential, probably bc rob is pos and couldn't find 10 streamers who still liked him enough for that but yeah.

reminder that killing fishers in old LOM would of been turned into actual factions of people who wanted to kill fishers and fishers creating cliques with guards with its own fully fleshed out lore
