I want to get my d&d friends into it, I really like making new characters, urealms is the perfect kind of ttrpg for me

The idea of the world eventually being inhabited by your old characters as they become npcs was a really neat concept

Like you’re on session 40 and bumfuck tiddlewinks from session 13 has made his triumphant return only to die 10 mins in but its okay because you have 39 other potential characters

From my experience

The people who liked urealms as a game were way weirder than the people who just liked the funny haha show

they were the proto modern rob fans

I'm always in awe of people who can do pickup group TTRPGs

i liked the game and the show, but mostly the show

randoms and party rp don't mix imo

In urealms its easier and harder than a d&d campaign. Easier because you can end the session with a weirdo and go “thank god thats over” but its harder because you have a very wide range of roleplay ability and personality

but if you just drop me in some random lobby of people, and now I'm building a character

it's going to turn into powergaming, stiff rp

Yeah, I had fun with it by making my characters go all in on their traits and stuff

with urealms i feel its faster to make a character

I had a character in season 2 rules whos entire inventory was three companions

then in dnd

the companion system was cool, cause if you died you could continue as a companion

I have to give credit to Rob, the traits and background cards are a really cool idea

would have been fun for if they had multiple companions, when the main character died, the companions have to fight to find out whos the new leader

so if he did dump more of this asset folders, I'd wager they'd be like the last few, mostly 2021-2022 stream assets from before his mental breakdown

Urealms music would be just about the only think I think he could put out there that would be of interest
