Critical role actually based on urealms, they were secretly fans of the show all along Kappa

theres not manty pis of it yet

its a D&D charafcter sheet basically

but they have a deck with their abilities and other stuff

so rather than laying all your cards out on a big sheet

you have a deck

that you can sift through i think

like dude

theres more deck related stuff too but i think this is still heavy beta

it seesm pretty dumbed down compared to D&D but still more similar than urealms ever was

its pretty interesting as like an inbetween

but im certain itll be pretty shit and mostly meant for women

The style is weird though the more I look at it, it feels less appealing than either end of the spectrum

I think the main issue is that if you dumb down a TTRP any further from 5e you’re basically making a game for retards

because realistically, the reason people like 5e as well outside of women

is that its so easy to homebrew and just have things work

though tbf, urealms is basically the most infinitely homebrewable game ever

it sjust not balanced

its pretty easy to shuffle through 6 cards that are your spells or 6 cards taht are your items

i find it interesting they made the classes the sheets though

so i guess you draw race, then just pick a calss "sheet" up

I usually am on here for rob or urealms related stuff nowadays bc I have too much normie shit on my plate these days :p

But ya if its like urealms where it incentivizes making many different characters then perhaps I’ll finally be able to convince my friends to move away from 5e and more towards a urealms style that I like

The thing about urealms I’ve rarely seen is the concept of making so many characters that one day most npcs will just be old characters

And allowing players to choose who they want to play in any given moment based on their favorites

The death roll system was already ironed out by late season 2

I think the only way this can work is if you have a roster of characters waiting

Killing one player off while the rest play is unfun, and shackling them with a shit companion character isn't much better

5% chance death rolls never happen until they do

I mean, I guess the 5% always rule was good for keeping everyone in the game yeah

I was always more understanding that sometimes you just get destroyed really early from bad luck but it was ok because next session would be a new character

But that’s just my playstyle. Its not sustainable
