Rob's game design skills were always on-point
PowerJuice and Revenge of Cookie were his biggest "misses" and even they were still fun

This is one of the reasons why I view DvZ boomers with contempt over how they would rather want a game to stay stagnant rather than evolve to something greater as time went on
I agree, the purists wanting a return to DvZ pre-loadouts were holding onto a game that had a shelf life (nostalgia aside)
but I do not think Rob is currently trying to make good games that stand on their own
The Post gym era DvZ fans were alwaya the most annoying people to me

i think really rob isn't trying to make a game at all atm
yep, if he was he'd probably be using some of that DvZ code to make an actual game
the small group of people who really like the current streams
are the ones who just like hanging out with Rob in Minecraft, it's the same ~20 people or so
Rob's streams are still a nostalgia fix for some people as well, regardless of whether dvz is even still a "game" at this point or not

rob is a creative genius and has made loads of shit most people wouldnt make in a lifetime i dont think thats ever really been up for debate
