Okay, I apparently have two identical thumb drives. One is not being recognized at all between three different computers, the other says it's not formatted. Dunno which one had that MP3, but it's probably not accessible on either.

The one that says it's not formatted was probably never formatted, it was probably never used. The one that won't be recognized, however, I have to find out if it's due to the USB being an issue on it or if the drive is corrupted.

With it being such an old drive, it could be either, but it doesn't have anything to indicate it's connecting to a USB port, at least not externally, and I don't have anything at the moment to diagnose if the USB connection is the issue or not.
