"Content making is one heck of a process."
Am I the only one who hates "content" and "content creator" as catch-all terms?
It is a stupid term
no you are not a content creator, you are a youtube lets player
etc
I think its definitely an ego thing
saying "I make shitty videos" is less impressive and important sounding than "I am a content creator"
We need some catch-all term for influencers who actually do stuff though
YouTuber or Streamer applies to a narrow group, who exist in only one place
I don't like "creator", because it's pretentious

I shaved my head yesterday. Created shavings that I tossed into the trash.
e-celeb is fun because its kind of backhand in that "you are not even real famous" kind of way

www.wordhippo.comI love this word list
shiller
first one is already great
Dude, I am an internet protagonist
an influencer to me, is someone who makes nothing, is popular/famous arbitrarily, and is paid to market things to people
e.g. instagram travel influencers
shiller or propagandist is perfect
the noun "creative" is better than "content creator" I think
if there was some way to make it internet-specific
it's still pretentious though
There are people I am fine calling a content creator because they actually make shit
random lets player #6300 (sorry vinny) is not a content creator
I want a better term
someone who works on various semi-connected projects online
across different mediums, at various scales, in groups and alone
e-whore is reserved for thots though
well like, what's Jake Paul's job?
He makes YouTube videos, releases music, boxes semi-professionally, produces branded-clothing, and a million other things
pro-athletes usually get the term "mogul"
He definitely fits influencer in a more proper sense
he exists just to sell shit to children

I didn't have my glasses on and I read this as "moguai"
lol
We need a distinction between influencers who do stuff, and ones who don't though
influencer is way more passive imo
they're not really doing anything
I guess you could say, and influencer is someone who's selling themselves, rather than their projects

We'll see how big this month's step is
