People get jaded that their votes don't change things instantly, which is a feature not a problem
21 year old idealists are just convinced that "the system is rigged" because it's not changing radically and rapidly to suit what they view as being necessary
When the majority of Americans, left or right leaning, are fairly content
Yeah, people bitch about gas being expensive, or schools being sub-par, or other (in the grand scheme) trivial things
No one's going to go kill politicians if their lives are generally good

Even if that's what everyone from average Joe to billionaires want
The failure of our system is that things usually have to get bad for things to change, which is why compared to a lot of Europe everyone says America as a whole is right-leaning

Man, I missed some funny news while I was gone
it's sexually transmitted, is the big difference
well, AIDS rules: sex, blood, saliva, etc.
it's also right now mostly confined to gay men
so if anything, women not putting out might lead to more of it spreading
the prevailing theory right now, is it hopped from Africa-->New York due to gay sex tourism
it's one of those strains that's dormant for a long time before the pox appear
so it spread around the country to all the major gay sex communities, and has been spreading rapidly
I think they're all sort of related, in that they cause pox
smallpox, chickenpox, monkeypox
