I did not even follow this election because I didn't care
but I figured I'd post the results since it was amusing
colour makes my ape brain fire neurons
tldr, conservatives (blue) won basically everywhere polulated, the ndp (orange) won the rural vote
So, there is history for that
in ontario, the NDP (far lefty party) fucked over teachers the one time they were in charge like 30 years ago
so no one who remembers that like them (which mostly affected the cities)
a lot of the populated area is historically conservative or liberal, but I think people really hate the leader of the liberal party
canadians hold massive grudges
NDP legitimately stands no chance of winning for at least another 20 years
(not that they had much of a chance in the first place)
All of canadian politics is left. The shit the republican party wants literally would not fly here
there are things that unironically can never go away, and neither party would every suggest it
like universal healthcare

yeah, but the stats actually does have people who are against status quo things that are basically just accepted
Canadian politics has the same problem as the US though, were literally every politician is unlikable
I think just before harper lost was the last time the NDP had a good leader
Cons have run people who keep having financial crimes being commited
trudeau is awful, but the cons and NDP keep running unwinable people
unironically, it'd be like if the US ran hillary a second time against trump
instead of at least trying a new person
