he's going to walk free in the end anyway
the last trial, the one with the black guy who got kneed on
was interesting
because there's no settled case law for that
so you need a jury to try the case
but here, there's nothing
do you have a duty to help someone you shot in self defense
even if we exclude the mob
I mean, I can see someone doing it if the situation is absolutely diffused after the shooting

its even worse than that
if you follow the full chain of events
guy chases him saying "I am going to fucking murder you"
rittenhouse eventually shoots him
retreats to police
is chased
gets attacked by several rioters
gets hit in the head with a skateboard, shoots that guy
guy runs up to him, he points the gun at him, that guy puts his hands up, rittenhouse lowers his gun, then the guy lunges for his gun and points his own gun at him
then he shoots him
