U.S. Senate Set to Vote on Judge Amy Coney Barrett Nomination at 7:...
The Senate voted 51-48 to limit debate on Judge Amy Coney Barrett Supreme Court confirmation. Republican Senators Murkowski (AK) and Collins (ME) voted "no" with all Democrats.
www.c-span.orgif anyone wants to watch the vote
was ging to start at 7:30, but Mitch will probably go over by a couple minutes
Chuck Schumer already used the line "you may regret this sooner than you think"
while crying about this being unfair
Supreme Court judge
it's going to be official
idk, looks like it
Chuck Schumer was there to cry
she's a little kooky
sane women don't have 7 kids
you'd stop at 4
oh, it's 2 adopted
yeah, you're right
I retract my statement
5 is fine
sane women do not have working ovaries and adopt
she's had that one great moment, with the blank notebook
other than that, I don't really like her
She's an originalist, so +1
the abortion debate is fucked at this point
we're stuck at this all or nothing impass
and have been for 50+ years
it's dumb that I really care about this,
but I feel like this is the first time in a long time Republicans haven't pussied out of doing something their voters want them to do
I kept expecting this to fail, and everyone to talk about how "maybe next time"
like I said, I don't even care about the judge, or what the vote was for
I just really like that they actually fucking did it
even as the whole world bitched and cried about it
everyone assumed the Never Trump Republicans were going to vote no, to spite him
or that there were going to be defections, or senetors with Corona
or something to derail this vote
but the most inept group of politicians, in the world
got together and actually did something
idk, probably
I'm just tired of republicans having power, and doing nothing
so this time, thy did something
no, he said yes
I think it was tha Alaska woman
I could be wrong though
