I think the part of the whole discussion that frustrates me is that its never people from MN weighing in on what they want for their state, it's always chuds from other states blindly cheering on ICE.
Immigration is hard because its inherently interstate, and you have multiple states that are skirting the line of cooperating with the feds, and I sort of do think they should escalate, but there's also basically zero long-term planning behind any of this to begin with, so escalating without a plan is just cathartic and not actually going to achieve anything which is why they ultimately didn't imo.
Separate, I do think the federal government would have justification to completely cut off all federal dollars flowing into Minnesota, until a federal commission audits for fraud, and I do think that would have enough of an effect to force cooperation along limited lines if you did it in a non-completely-inflammatory sorta way
