Ignore what Leg is saying, we started bombing Iran
Iran was slow-rolling the peace talks
and it was pretty clear we were going to start bombing the shit out of them, with how much we had moved over there
I mean, I'm pretty sure they were attacking US bases in Kuwait/qatar
I don't think they're Samson Optioning things from a weaker position
My only question is what does the endgame even look like for us, since I don't think the current Iranian government will stick this one out to the bitter end
if we're not going to send troops and occupy them, it's just going to pass to the next Islamic government

Isreal didn't win their surprise war last year, and has been trying to get the US to come in and finish the job ever since
I will say, Iran has been absolutely brain dead with how they've been negotiating at this international peace summit
from day 1, it was clear the whole thing would only end with war
they were not allowed to really negotiate, but they kept participating, and if it was to buy time they really didn't do anything with the extra time
America has been VERY publicly and obviously been moving our military assets, and Israel's been pre-emptively celebrating for the last week
Pakistan has been too
but Iran's was in the news last year for it

if missle intercept systems ever got good, it's what we'd use
missile intercept systems will probably never out-pace the attacker advantage though
You could probably do a scattershot concusive blast meaningfully with just terminal
at least to topple buldings
but yeah, not going to outdo a nuke or even just missile strikes
