I didn't realize it was that much. I'm baffled at Greenland wishing for independence like two years ago or so. I understand why they would, but holy, they would be crippled.

But also my mindset is I would love every country to be a microstate and huddled into its own cultures. So that's my point of view on basically all geopolitics

if every culture got their own state you'd have the higher population countries dominate the smaller ones
I get that, but, I dunno. I'm sure there's a limit in size. I feel that America is too big and too culturally and geographically diverse for 1 set of laws to govern everything nicely.

America has an issue of cities vs. rural areas having extremely different cultures and needs, even within a state though, and you can't just separate those.
