I think a lot of people try to pin the blame of trans suicides on the fact that they get bullied and etc, and sure, that probably accounts for... a measurable amount of it? But the reality is that most of these people are of the most vulnerable subset that exist within society from the outset
I think people who are mentally fucked enough to get elective, not neccecariy surgeries are already hugely predisposed to just killing themselves
There is also a subset of trans people who get the surgery, realizes it did not make them feel better about themself, then still kill themself
so I think the "it reduces harm" arguement is negligable at best
I am sure statistically there is a percentage of trans people who once they get the fake vagina do feel better
and live a happy life
but I don't think there is any meaningful study that has been allowed to be published on how often that is the case
