easy answer, its not as profitable. unironically read Lenin, imperalism, highest stage of capitalism. but otherwise just read something like shock doctrine. look at what we did in iraq, we gave everything to the contractors, it was supposed to solve war and boy did it.
start at like part 5 or 6, im bad at explaining thibgs but this is like one of my all time favorites

not lenin, do like lenin but idk old theory can be dated, is onky good of you also read things that build off of those ideas in modern settings

I’m reading mistborn! Its good.
Nice. I liked that series, Way of Kings is also good and loosely related to Mistborn. Kelseir is actually in Fortnite because Sanderson was neighbors with an epic dev

Mistborn is definitely what got me into his writing style, I really enjoy it. The Stormlight Archive is a tall ask to get into, so much of the epic fantasy shit that's irritating like all these proper nouns and countries with their own politics and so on. For Mistborn, I like that it's just 1 town, 1 story.

Sanderson adds maps to the first few pages of his books and I greatly appreciate that, but yea having narrative jump between like 4-5 characters PoV every chapter can be a lot.

Yeah I started one chapter with nobles gossiping and they mentioned like 10 different names I was unfamiliar with and I had to stop for a second to process it all

Yeah, I just do not recommend the Stormlight Archive for an introduction to fantasy books, there's just so much going on! I personally enjoy it but, like, Mistborn is a solid fantasy series that is simple.

Anyway I would highly NOT recommend Kingkiller chronicles only because they will literally never be finished. I can't stand unfinished stories. They're really good otherwise.
