At least with the rebranding of Australia Day to Invasion Day there's an acknowledgement of the colonizers, past, present, and future.
Looks like the US government shutdown is particularly strong because most of NAVSEA and others had their NWCF (Navy Working Capital Fund) used to fund the DRP. So the NWCF is now fairly low, which is also used to pay for workers during a shutdown. Additionally, we have siphoned the NWCF to pay for enlisted sailors. So.. I'm out on furlough in 2 weeks.
