I think the consequences of AI will be worse than anything else, purely because in the hands of mid tier people it pushes them towards retardation
I am really interested in seeing studies on how far peoples capabilities fall academically because of AI

but people who are using it as a shortcut for actually thinking are going to be crushed into dirt
It has been shown that the ability to do stuff like that needs to be enforced and learned
which is what school is supposed to do (among other things)
