it's funny when one of their tweets hits the algorithm
The Cracker Barrel tiktok ads have started coming out
The only reason I don't think the whole rebrand is a negative publicity stunt, is it actually started months ago, the store remodels were already tanking customer turnout since late last year
they had 8+ months of silent, extremely negative feedback and negative results at all their test locations
and then still went ahead with the full brand image suicide
literally no idea, it's even weirder because Cracker Barrel was actually doing decent, post-pandemic
outcompeted most other similar restaurants, and had cheap building leases because they're off highways
It's a Southern restaurant, traditionally along highways or near hotel districts
country food Southern, not soul food Southern
I've actually eaten at some in AZ/NM Dialga, funilly enough
so do *sorta* exist in the Southwest
just not many
i think it is bizarre to have not HEARD of cracker barrel even if you haven't went
they've got a lot of charming gimmicks, but the business gimmick is that there's a store attached to the restaurant, full of cheap gifts/candy/and random fun things
part of why their revenue is so good
same, it has to be ideology
I really can't square that all of their market tests resulted in horrendous sales drops and negative feedback
and they went ahead with it anyway

I could see you could get 60 that way
but it sorta tracks with the better stat of the 18-49 from before

and polls are and always will be stupid
