kids just don't care that much about Nintendo in general
outside of pokemon sorta
Switch 2 being a "personal" console again also probably hurts them
I still think the endgame for Nintendo is a cloud console
play anywhere, subscription fee
release a Switch lite handheld or w/e to still have that product line
but everything is cloud streaming on the backend
people playing on their phones, on PCs, on their smart TVs, etc.
same
I also just know a lot of kids who got switches, and then sorta stopped caring about dedicated "games machines" in general
I think kid-autism is easily satisfied in a lot of different ways
and if they're not put on the game path, they'll just end up doing something else
especially now
TV was the biggest loser

As we look at Nintendo Switch 2 and you think about the feature sets that I talked about ... we believe that the pricing is appropriate for the value of the machine and the gameplay experience overall. We recognize there are some people that may not be able to afford the Nintendo Switch 2 price point. That's why we wanted to make the other Switch platforms available, so people still have an opportunity to come into our gaming universe, be a part of these characters in these worlds, and see value, if you will, in whatever rung of the platform they come in.Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 As we look at Nintendo Switch 2 and you think about the feature sets that I talked about ... we believe that the pricing is appropriate for the value of the machine and the gameplay experience overall. if the switch 2 really fails, Doug Bowser will be quoted a lot
The economy is saved until he unpauses them in 2 weeks
or less
So the economy is saved until he unpauses them in 2 weeks
or less
Replying to legorhin #jazardly tariffs paused!
Literally dumbest thing Trump could have done
Zero benefit to pausing them, and undermines the strong position we were in
Idk spooky, I think if he stops and starts them a few more times, america will be great again
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak So the economy is saved until he unpauses them in 2 weeks
My investment strategy currently is banking on Trump saying something stupid again tonight or tomorrow so I hope so
lol loveland, are you shorting SPY
It spiked after a rumour that he was pausing them the other day
then dropped after it was said that he wasn't
Kind of volatile!
Replying to legorhin #jazardly if trump's strategy was to force a conversation, i guess that worked out
>force a conversation
no it's just a bad move to back off, you'll have very little movement back into the market over the next 90 days, so it delays the benefit the US will get from doing this in the first place, even if we're actively using the time to negotiate tariff reductions from countries
why he did it, no idea. Like I said before the elites still had their money tied up in the market, and the drop wasn't supposed to happen this early in the year
so there may have been a LOT of pressure for him to try to reverse course and delay
This does seem like the kind of all or nothing kind of thing, so pussyfooting around and not hard commiting is retarded
Either crash literally every other countries economies, or keep status quo
you cannot really go back and forth
It's worse for everyone to go back and forth constantly, and better for the US long-term to just apply the tariffs anyway
and my hope is this isn't forgotten and just turn into a china trade war thing
I mean, I also think the "better for the US" part is overblown, because this is getting undone the second trump is out of office
I WANT the tariffs
so its not like manufacturing will come back to the US knowing it will maybe only be economically more viable for 4 years
Replying to Phijkchu_Pikachu #klombak I mean, I also think the "better for the US" part is overblown, because this is getting undone the second trump is out of office
This is why this is all retarded anyway, even if its a bad move economically it’ll be popular because people don’t want a recession. You can’t just flip a switch on this stuff
it 100% will, zero companies are going to float capital for 4 years in the hope of better market conditions
same reasn brexit wasn't immediately undone right after the next election

JUST IN: 🇺🇸🇨🇳 Treasury Secretary Bessent says this was President Trump's strategy all along—to goad China into a bad position.
twitter.comYeah but I feel like there are options other than "move literally all manufacturing to the US right now" that are more likely to happen
