🚨#BREAKING: Google Maps has announced it will update its platform to reflect changes introduced by President Trump, renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America and displaying Mount McKinley instead of Denali.
twitter.comI can't express how funny that is
we can unilaterally rename anything in the entire world, because we control Google maps
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 we can unilaterally rename anything in the entire world, because we control Google maps
legally for international recognition this probably needs to be approved by Mexico as well since we share control of it with them
This is fucking retarded it should be gulf of louisiana if anything
since it's been hard to find a schedule of these hearings
RFK's is in the largest room in SD(Dirkson), Tulsi's in the 2nd largest
so I bet that one's going to be a show
10AM thursday morning
unless I'm missing one
oh, I wonder if that';s a typo
because it's the wrong committee
Leg, weirdly
I looked it up, it's both committees
and the Finance committee has final say

Trump announces he will be putting tariffs on semiconductors
twitter.comI sure do hope intel gets those factories up and running faster
I don't think any of them are particularly good ideas
if they had the factories up and running, then this would be fine, since it would just encourage american companies to use their own chips
but they do not, so this literally does nothing but raise prices lol
If they had their factories up and running, probably
I think hell will freeze over before they fix the tax system
but the idea of tariffs, as a sort of 'super sales tax' on imported electronics is probably a fair sector to target
even as someone heavily affected
(not to say I won't try to circumvent the fuck out of them)
if sales taxes in general applied only to finished goods (excluding food, services, and digital products)
and were non-uniform, similar to luxury/consumption taxes are now
issue is its infeasible, income tax and tax withholding as PERFECTED obfiscating how much you pay in taxes
yeah, all federal aid to states is being "reevaluated"
the feeling is most will be turned back on in 90 days
