All of our territories are in-favor of some form of statehood, and its been witheld because boomers fucking love the number 50

I hate how hard it is to find a good map of Pacific islands
I think the reason is there are all the random Eropean Overseas territories that we never know whether to include or not
this is the best I've found so far, but it's fishing zones
Mariana, Guam, Western Micronesia and Palau are all the same island chain (Marianas)
and the US administers all of them and provides services for them federally
Palau is independent because they are a diplomatic client state to work with the Philippines, in a way that doesn't directly piss off China
similar with our Marshall Islands, Kiribati, and Nauru
Micronesia is actually independent, and is where a lot of the random European islands are
I think charitably, Marianas should become one state, and all of our central Polynesian islands should become their own
Guam and the Marianas
Samoa and American Polynesia
both these names suck though
Polynesia could technically be administrated by Hawaii, but there's too big of a size/historical difference, they should be their own state
Just get rid of all those islands

I assume it's a bunch of rocks, there are a handful of islands that are essentially unpopulated
total population of the Mariana state would be ~500k
Samoa/Polymesia would be 1.2M
Central Micronesia, which we also administrate is a little lower, at ~300k, and I think that would be the most challenging to turn into a state due to the very dispersed population, and aren't centralized
the other two would be easy
Virgins + Puerto Rico in the Caribbean is 3.5M

Most of the rest of the Caribbean shitter islands are European owned vacation spots, or "independent" countries that are all administrated by the US or Europe
