Trump should pick who he wants, if it's a game of favors just rip the band-aid off and drop all 30 notable positions at once
rather than this game of people tearing everyone down
Trump reportedly picks Kristi Noem to run homeland security department
South Dakota governor, who controversially admitted shooting her dog, to be part of hardline immigration team
www.theguardian.comthis is I think his worst pick so far
this woman is R E T A R D E D
I'd rather he just pick one of his daughters appak
I think the issue is, the people who stuck by Trump after he lost were the griftiest grifters
he got some good people as the campaign went on
but it's weird to be giving so many real appointments to these fucks, rather than ceremonial positions that politicians normally give
though, ngl, Biden did the same thing
his cabinet is full of his retarded friends first and foremost
it's weird to make the same mistake again
when you REALIZED what went wrong the first time
either way, hope they prove me wrong and turn out to be secretly competent lol
honestly, as long as RFK is there
I have a lot of faith in shit getting done
if the cost of that is we genocide a few countries and fumble WWIII, oh well
I mean, it would be us just blowing up more shit in the middle east and sinking some ships in China
it's not like there will be a war on American soil
the NSC Leg
true!
we need 10 different departments to manage the exact nuance of how we blow up foreigners
I think the open question is why and how much do we care about Taiwan
they're kinda only out ally to spite China, and when China moves to take the island back
someone (Trump) gets to decide how many Americans die as an ineffectual show of force
can I say it's their fault for joining the military, sure I'm not trying to baby them
But if that becomes a decade of hawkish bluster and anti-China fixation by retards
I'm going to be pissed
1) we don't need to be spending $$$ overseas
2) we don't need to feel that every self-interested foreign government is our mortal enemy
that's my position
now back to real politics

Leaked documents from Project 2025 include plans for the "denazification, decommunization, and demilitarization" of Canada.
fxtwitter.comwatch out @Phijkchu_Pikachu
we're releasing the Detroit reserves to come get you
I am less mad about this than Trump selling the artifacts from the smithsonian
Replying to Spooky Phijkchu #spooky.131 I think the open question is why and how much do we care about Taiwan
Stoner told me this so non-reliable, but doesn't Taiwan have a lot of materials for chips/processors
Its not just a lot of materials
they are the supply chain
intel is scrambling to make fab shops so we are not 100% dependant on them
but that costs trillions and will take years
The entire supply chain, as explained to me by Spooky, is taiwan, I think they go to the US, and the Netherlands makes a specific component
iirc
If China is taking Tiwan, they will scortched earth the factories which will set the world back probably 10 years on computing manufacturing
But it is better than China having 100% control over all technology

twitter.comChina is utterly dependent on the Taiwan chips as well, even though they have stopped getting most of their chips from them, most advanced tech requires the Taiwanese chips. Look at the phones the Chinese companies make and they are only as advanced as the iPhone 8? The chips are also just recycled or stockpiles from earlier purchased products. The thought of china going into Taiwan and blowing it up would hurt china more so because then no one in the world is able to produce the chips they themselves need. China wants the technical know how, the economic power, and the factories to reproduce the chips for themselves.

Agreed, but we weren't saying China would blow it up. Pika was saying if China ever attempted to pull a Ukraine on Taiwan then the occupied Americans would go full scorched earth on the factories to prevent China from having the chips.
Nah, china would fall on the beach and even if they got to a city they would have to blow it up in order to maintain control. Americans wouldn’t need to touch the factories themselves, if they are so inclined to try and takeover without destruction; rather have them do the deed themselves than haunt us later.
