the concept of being drafted for the presidency is an archaic thing, but it was plausibly real at a point in history
it wasn't 1M, it's 0.25% of the state's registered voter count

in my head, I was kind of going along with "yeah, if X number of people sign a petition for your name to be on the ballot, it should probably be on the ballot"
you have to remember back in the olden times, people didn't really want to be president
so the notion that you could draft somebody, they wouldn't campaign, but their surrogates would
and they'd either accept it or not
political parties kind of stepped in though, and made sure if you drafted someone, they "accepted" it before the actual election
