I understand why they didn't do this, but personally, I would have made ALL of her fights significantly harder. Like, you already don't need to win any of the fights to progress. I think it would be fun if she was just this random super strong fight that happened sometimes and you don't need to win, but it gets to truly challenge you when you're not ready for it.

the framing of someone who is weak, dedicating themselves to getting stronger and even passing you- then undergoing a rebirth as they mega their starter is probably one of the most cinematic rivals

Grass' only stinkers for me are 6 and 8. I usually like grass but usually pick whichever seems the most fun then do grass on a second playthrough because other than some niche exceptions they're usually rather mid

Venesaur, Sceptile/Grovyle, Torterra, Serperior, Decidueye, Meowscarda I all like. I still think snek is the best gen 5 starter because samurotts existence is stupid
