NEW: Nintendo is suing the creators of popular Switch emulator Yuzu, saying their tech illegally circumvents Nintendo's software encryption and facilitates piracy. Seeks damages for alleged violations and a shutdown of the emulator.
twitter.comI can see Nintendo losing the case
It’s bullshit
I am trying to find the whole case filing
since the kotaku retard does not link it
https://canliiconnects.org/en/commentaries/45044 Apparently they won a case in 2017 based on circumvention of technological protections
in Canada
I mean, that is how they'd get them
emulators are legal, and proven via caselaw to be protected
have you found the full case?
I can't find it

thank you resetera
The only count that 100% will get dropped is 5 I think
since it is just contributory since yuzu users have dumped roms
1-4 I am curious to see how that plays out
it does seem to be based on prior precedent Nintendo has set for people breaking their DRM
and 4 is just kind of retarded on Yuzu's part, don't try to run an emulator and also run an explanation on how to pirate
that should be two seperate (or at least seemingly seperate) groups to prevent reasonable grounds for being sued
Vinny I was hoping in the screenshot proof of ToTK piracy, you'd show up
Sadly neither were you
There may be more screenshots used as proof but I likely wouldn’t show since I played on actual hardware
