Okay, so the dex has been curtailed in such a way that literally only gen 9 pokemon are good, most of the strong pokemon from prior games just aren't released yet

Honestly I agree with that

I liked the way Gen 5 (and 3?) did it by locking the main story to new pokemon to allow them to shine, then introduce the old ones in the post game

It doesn't help that they introduced many high BST Pokemon in a region with only 400.

Most teams are running three or more paradox pokemon

Also, lots of people using Scarfchomp again. He works quite well in this limited game. It's Diamond Pearl all over again.

Roaring Moon's issue is that Chien-Pao, Flultter Mane, Iron Valiant, and Iron Bundle all counter it pretty well.

If most Paradox Pokemon stay in OU, it might actually be OU-BL

Paradox mence is only of the strongest, crunch/eq/u-turn is incredibly hard to play around

I use outrage last move since it’s just a win button if there’s not more fairies but iron head is also good

From most of what I've seen so far, Roaring Moon needs setup, usually DD, to get into a spot where he can do good.

With 18 options for all 6 pokemon you never really can

The other issue is that, this game is obviously built around Hyper Offense

and Smogon's format has always really resisted that.

Well it's not about that, I do think it's good for it to be balanced

Many bans in the past however, were based upon how it effected stall or slower styles of play, and it's harder to do that this time around.

No, the issue isn’t the thing that was banned normally, it’s the way they do it

A lot of times they quickban something for the sake of tournaments when it should’ve had a proper suspect test

Pheromosa, cinderace, and magearna should not have stuck around that long, and the meta was just shit for the longest time
