I personally think gen 5 is the best story wise (which is what I rank the games off of) and it’s not too easy either. I’d say either gen 6 or 8 is probably the easiest. It’s a tossup at this point

@NintendoAmerica For anyone unfamiliar with the game, it opens with Blue Moon, the in-game faction equivalent and analogous to Russia/USSR, invading a neighboring territory. It's not just because it's a war game, it's explicitly because the narrative and themes are a bit too relevant right now.
