Not saying gameplay
Just art design
OoT's art style is iconic
I would be against modernizing it
I mean that’s what they did in 2011 technically
Its not though
And most people say that’s the definitive look for it
OoT 3D was very much faithful to the original art design
Was it tho?
The games look basically the same but higher quality textures
the art style is essentially identical
Those are both oot3d
Just one is upscaled in citra
oh lol you are right
lmfao
either way, OoT and OoT 3D have the same art design
texture quality and what not, sure, very different
Beyond just textures you have entire areas redesigned like links house which was a big image in the original but is fully modeled in 3d
links model is the most obvious difference I am seeing
Yeah, but that is not changing the art design vinny
But it is modernizing it
Which is what you said they didn’t do
no, thats not what that means
they kept the classic design while making it cleaner
Then what does it mean to you
modernizing it is going for the modern design
aka making it just BoTW art design
To me modernizing something is separate from the art design it’s more about making a more polished product than the actual look of it
And that’s what I’ve seen it described as instead of being about art style
then you are wrong, because thats not what this means
art style is different from polish
I was arguing against this statement
I agree, a super high res, super high quality OoT would be amazing on switch
obviously
same with MM
I’m confused I don’t get what you’re saying anymore lol
I am saying, the art style of BoTW does not fit OoT
art style is things like colour usage, how shading works, etc
Right
OoT art style is iconic and should not be made to be BoTW art style
I think it would be a worse product if it was
that is what I am saying
I think it would look cool to see the oot version of hyrule like that
Okay, I think we are talking about different things. When you say art style do you mean like, set design?
because I am literally referring to how the art is technically made and different
Color, shading, character and world design, kinda a mix of a lot of things visually
So world design is not art style as far as I am concerned, but I can agree that it might be neat to see a BotW style world design in OoT (I don't think it would be better though)
Colour, shading, and character designs though I would hard pass
I think it would be worse
Better or worse for world design it’s just something I’d find neat
yeah for sure, its an interesting what if
Idk, I prefer the more cartoonish zeldas like OoT and WW
would rather see a BotW in OoT or WW style tbh
fucking imagine WW 2
its just BoTW with boats
I mean ww 2 exists
Phantom hourglass
ds games do not count
they are not real
Hate them that much?
Never finished them
not necessarily hate
(I also never finished SS or TP tbf)
I mean other than having to redo that one dungeon what I’ve played of phantom hourglass was fun
I also have not finished either ds game
(I also only finished MM when MM 3D came out, have never finished the original)
I’ve finished the original a few times only finished 3D once
now that I think about it, WW, OoT, and BotW are the only zelda games I have finished
The ones you enjoyed most ig
OoT 3D and WW HD included in that list
BotW I enjoyed less then SS and TP
still enjoyed it
