The part that is worse to me is the overall flow of the exploration/hunting part of the game, which is contributed by a lot of small changes
the combat is the same, tweaks aren't really that major unless you played the old weapons at a high level and appreciate what was changed
technically the game runs fine (for being on the Switch)
metagame progression is the same, there's plenty of new content, but none of the systems they added really panned out to adding to the game for me over what was there before
so other than the new content, to me it's just an inferior game to World, even when you adjust for the differences between Playstation/PC and Switch
I don't think it's bad, if I said that I misspoke, I just think the game is mediocre compared to the trajectory I thought the series was on after World

@Phijkchu_Cynnydaquil How substantial was the Bowser's Fury content?
I was thinking of picking 3D World up
It’s like a mini version of a normal 3D Mario collectathon but using the gameplay of 3D world
It was fun and you only need half the cat shines to beat it
So it isn’t a huge investment if you wanna finish it but start to get tired of it
Obviously it's not Odyssey, did it feel weird going back to 3D World in general after that
At first a little but I also never played the original 3D world
So that may have had a hand in it
I'll probably pick it up this weekend then, thanks Vinnny
Only things worth noting for me is sideflips are picky at times and backflips are nonexistent
yeah, those have been weird forever at this point though
Unless you have to charge them like the high jump in Mario 2

The side stories were pretty fun imo
the missions less so, because they just gave you too many pikmin
would have been more fun to be restricted to 1-2 colours
Yeah I’ve enjoyed what I have played of side stories
And I heard there’s a big boss at the end which I’m looking forward to fighting

I see it more likely that they’d do oot mm wwhd and tphd as a set and sshd separate since it’s more work to reconfigure the motion for it
At least with Mario galaxy they were able to do something similar to what they did with pikmin 3

If we compare the amount of game to what we got with mario 3d collection though
that would be massive as is
WW is huge
tp is also quite big
No matter what the likelihood of wwhd and tphd getting ported is high because they’d wanna recoup the losses of making them for Wii U
yeah, honestly, just straight porting the HD versions to switch, and tacking on MM and OoT ports
is actually kind of reasonable
now that I think of it
Pipe dream but I’d love a full remake of ocarina in the art style of breath of the wild
that is stupid
