I guess in the hundred years since, everyone in Hyrule became more of a wimp
who can't stand outside in the snow without literally freezing to death
Alright I did it
120 star mario 64
120 shine mario sunshine
242 star mario galaxy
100% done
nice
I am like 80% sure I have never 100%ed galaxy before
because I do not recall playing the entire game with luigi after beating it
I got to Super Luigi Galaxy, did 1 or 2 comets, and called it a day
doing all the purple coin ones was annoying
I didn't understand 3D Mario as a kid honestly
it wasn't until much later when I had someone showing me how to actually play 64
I realized I had been doing it wrong all along
luigi being able to jump higher and run faster made his route much faster to beat since I could do a few skips mario could not do
Does All Stars commemorate you 100%ing all the games in some way?
galaxy auto puts congrats pictures on your switch picture thing if you 100% it
but otherwise there is no reward
imagine if they did put galaxy 2 on it, but locked it behind 100%ing the other 3
that'd be fun
I wonder if there was some person who just hated Galaxy 2 on the team
no idea
I am less nostalgic for galaxy 2 but I remember it being fun mechanically
I have more nostalgia for 64, mostly due to the circumstances of how I played it
But Galaxy was the first 3D Mario I really played
went in fairly blind as a kid
I played them in order of release blind
I didn't have a gamecube as a kid
that's a bad system to miss
since so many gamecube games were great
I didn't have any consoles, parents were anti-vidya
eventually got a wii though, for """fitness""" games
like wii sports
ok, no vidya isn't completely true
I did have those composite cable games, you pluged directly into a TV
ah yes
the greatest games
I have a few of those
I'm not sure in hindsight why I got a pass with these
but I played the shit out of them
They seem more like toys then games
I think it's because it's hard to hate classic arcade games
I guess there goes the thing I was making bad choices by playing instead of doing school work
now I have no excuses
Kappa
you got through them pretty quick
for playing on/off
I think it was 5 hours for 64, 13ish for sunshine, and like 30 for galaxy
20 of that galaxy was mario route, 10 luigi
I think galaxy for sure was the best game on the collection from a value proposition situation since sunshine does have a few lag issues in the plaza, and 64 (unless they fixed that too) has fucked camera
I enjoyed playing all three though
