really? i thought the enemies in prime 1 weren't satisfying to fight and were way too annoying. but it could be my fault.

some of the boss fights weren't very fun either

like i think the ridley fight was bad

Level design on average is weaker in 2, soundtrack is less memorable, screw attack is bad, bosses are about the same in both imo

Haven't played 3 yet but comparing 1 and 2, 1 is the better game

yeah the level design was great in 1

mostly the snow area

i think the screw attack is cool though. it allows you to get places much easier. you can skip the ball cannons and stuff. it is kinda annoying to crash into a wall and bounce too far back though.

2 has great bosses too. some arent as great like the alpha brogg is pretty lame. but there are some really great and unique ones

90% of the maps are not made with the screw attack in mind, which makes the using it pointless in most scenarios

I have heard that 3 fixes that thankfully but it doesn't undo the issue with 2

I still need to finish 2 someday, play 3, so I can play 4 lol

I 100%'d 1, got like halfway into 2 and was not enjoying it as much so I put it down, then never got around to finishing it

same exact issue I had with pikmin now that I think of it

pikmin 2 really is the black sheep of the first 3

with the randomly generated caves

Pikmin 2 is Fine™️ but definitely not as fun as 1 or 3

i just really love pikmin so i played it

I also love pikmin, just not to the point of playing fangames

If I get the craving to play I'm more likely to replay 1 and try to beat my time/day count

well not all mods are just more of the same thing

I do still need to finish 4's second half tho so maybe I ought to go back to finish that

I did feel pretty content with getting Olimar cured though

like pikmin 251 really changes the way you play

i think they look awesome

Dark over light, light is just ok

And the Phazon Suit from 1 is better than both

i love both but i also think the dark suit is better looking

I have 100%'d prime 1, dread, and fusion

samus looks great in that game

I've not played much/finished any others

i dont bother getting all the missile upgrades or energy tanks.

I started Dread then stopped because I wanted to play the other 2Ds first and haven't gone back to do that yet

it's really good

i also love the remakes of metroid 1 and 2

they both go above and beyond

some people hate that ridley appears in the remake of 2 but i really like that the baby metroid saves samus

Never played the one remake because it came out after I decided to never buy another 3DS game again

because the console life was over

idk why I never played the other remake, probably similar reasoning

i honestly dont know if i'd be able to get through og metroid 1

some nes games just dont hold up to me

the metroid 1 remake makes metroid 1 like super metroid but with more polish

and it adds lots of things to make the game more fun

Zero Mission pretty much replaces Metroid 1 for most people

i think i big missed opportunity of the metroid series is this. in the opening to metroid fusion, samus almost dies from the x parasite and she said that when her armor was removed samus's appearance was altered dramatically. but we never got to see that.

i think samus should have stayed permenantly deformed

that would make me really love samus

They could never commit to something like that because it's a hell of a lot easier to market ZSS when she is "hot lady"

They should have made samus more of a tomboy initially because her suit does not fit her
