I feel like Nintendo is lying or misdirecting people here
if they're talking about patching in new HD textures to make the game look better that's an actual thing
but all Switch games are built from the ground-up to scale resoltion+performance natively already
there might be a couple games, like 3D mario where they had locked it to 60 FPS max, so they can remove that FPS cap
all games will run slightly better on the new Switch by default

The reports are that the US/Canada might get an additional price increase due to tariffs for the consoles and certain accessories

I would have guessed they've have done some theme for the main cast to boost the pool, and added negga-Mario or dry-Mario or smt

I think there was no right solution, there are only a small handful of real characters they can add
so it was either varients, or mobs
they gotta save all that for DLC

I like the lore that new DK is Cranky Kong or smt
because I really like the current DK design, rather than the new goofy one
reminds me of what they did to Ash from Pokemon, before sorta reversing course

I agree with their point that gamechat was enough to build their console around
and I won't even shit on them for it running poorly, the console is still severely underpowered and that's all they had to work within that
but I don't think it has enough features to actually be the virtual hangout space they want it to be

since I obviously still think they will eventually end up at a cloud console after the Switch 2, it's not the worst idea to start cutting their teeth on playing around with alternative control schemes.
I'll be curious what their big 1st party game is that uses it
