Yes, but they at least are pulling from something and not 100% smash original, but just slapping monado arts on Noah kind of would be
Besides, other echo fighters have a lot in common with the characters they are based on, but Noah is just a guy with a sword that’s super sharp for most of the game

I also think they fit the smash feel well. Like ultimate imo has too many human characters which makes it feel less like smash, sonic characters don't have that issue. A few human characters is fine, but not too many
