I think they could make a less buggy DK 64

and it would do well
anyway, original question
I think we get a DK spin-off on the Switch 2 in year 1, next mainline game 2027
DK does seem like a good 2 year into the console lifespan hype game during a direct
its not a good launch series
that is going to be the new 3D mario
we're going to get a Mario Wonder++ DLC thing imo
and that'll be the only launch year 2D platformer
Wonder DLC is possible, but they are for sure cooking the new 3D mario
oh 100%
Its been so long since odyssey, and that did not even get DLC
the Mario Party release time is also weird to me, feels like they should have held that for Switch 2
I think they wanted to get as many final switch console sales before releasing the same console
since they can double dip
yes, games are cross-platform
but it's still less hype
Honestly, they already released the best mario game since mario party 5
I don't think it matters when the released it
I heard the new one is good
damn
I still don't think I care, and will enevitably just get the next one after it though
I agree with Polu that motion control gating minigames is still bad
and the non-board MP modes are all gimicky
Mario party is a good "everyone gets it and we play 20-30 games of it" game
I just really don't know if I'm getting a Switch 2
You promised you'd get one when Kirby drops 1 year into its lifespan
as recompense
I just resent the lack of performance for 1st party games
emuation will always be the way to go
I do not bother emulating modern consoles, too much effort
not to take anything for granted, since it's a lot of work on the internet autists
Honestly, that should've been Nintendo's powermove
I don't think I understand the pov Pika, but I'm not trying to change your mind on that
release an emulator thats super locked down and you can play like 3 things
Links Awakening was the last Switch game I bought I think
and since I've just emulated the stuff I wanted to try
I bought the TYD remake
thats the last one I got
I am also just too busy to play games
oh, I bought that one too
that was when I was moving
I forgot completely
I think that one might have been a leftover game voucher thing
There are modern games I would emulate. If shadow generations gets cracked I'll play it illegally
Mario Wonder was perfect for that to me
I wanted to try it, zero chance I'd ever buy it though
Mario Wonder was a decent game that is mired by being way too easy even for mario standards
I think it was the least difficult super 100% postgame content from any of the mario's I've 100%'d
Nintendo has the benifit of no other console being worth owning
so you just buy one nintendo console every 10 years
Their issue is online is not a must-have for their games, and performance is lacking enough that you get such a better experience emulating (most of the time)
Oh for sure, I don't doubt you get better preformance
the couple games that I'd describe as killer apps, have had underwhelming last installments or have been absent for so long idk what to expect
I think the only game I had performance issues with was fire emblem warriors 2, which crashed my switch
but that only happened once
I regretted buying BotW2
it ran so bad
I ended up playing it emulated
I did not have any issues with it
it ran at 20FPS for me
Well, I did not have any preformance issues for it
I had plenty of issues with it!
lol, that too
I can't remember if there were any other games that I actually put down to emulate instead
I finished Treehouse on-hardware, and most of the early life Switch games
I pray a 3D zelda that is not BotW style open world comes before Kirby in 2050
I fear we never get one
I hated TotK, but would love more BotW games
Strong disagree, they were both just okay
I'd have been more forgiving if TotK didn't take so long to make
I don't think you can do what BotW did more than once
it was amusing, but now the intrigue is gone because we live in a post botw world
issue is if you're trying to make another BotW (different map aside) it's hard to be different enough and still be fun
Yeah
so they'll have to change it up a lot
I think if they kept it open world, but went back to a set inventory like onlder games
