I think where all the fan project clones fall apart is how to balance it

if the pokemobs are fodder or if they should have movesets and be formidable in their own right

a straight MH clone would imo work really well, but I think Nintendo would never sign off on harvesting pikachu tails to craft a hat

and if it's just a simple ARPG (Minecraft Dungeons tier) or muso game idk if that would be fun enough to make a whole game out of
