I feel like you could do a better job than he did trying to define what a super mario game is
I feel like he started with a poor choice and then picked that apart
That said, I agree with his thesis statement that it is hard to narrow down
He also at one point says he cannot conclude how many people think bowsers fury counts because he did not include it as seperate from super mario world this time, but I am pretty sure he had sections for both super mario world and super mario world + bowsers fury
since he included every port/remaster/rerelease in his 300+ game list
so he totally could have drawn conclusions
