Welcome amiibo was huge but I thought that was the only update
I didn’t start playing until well after WA was released so I didn’t know
they also didn't need a bunch of HUGE updates
since you know
they launched with most of the features in game
it had 3x the content that NH did
esp if you ignore the non-repeatable NH stuff
the final version of NH was smaller than I think the base game even should have been
oh, but the DLC was good
I'll give them that
granted, it was so disconnected
I didn’t spend much time with it but isn’t the dlc like happy home designer again
compared to any of the other games
heck, City Folk, the one I played the most of
had holidays that were highlights
the non-repeatable stuff
The early game was great in NH
everything up until you unlock full building control
was better than normal AC "main quests"
the island randomizer is fun the first few times
it's the perfect AC setup
I thought it was genius
It was neat but I don’t think it’s worth doing again
imagine Don't Starve, with a Nintendo Game budget
Sounds like a great time tbh
MC mods are the only survival games with enough progression to satifsy me now
is the problem
and no AAA studio is going to put out a progression tree anywhere near that complex
but yeah, AC style could easily work for a lot of genres
